Baltic Model United Nations (BALMUN)

The first Baltic Model United Nations conference was held in 2008. It had been initiated by students from Innerstädtisches Gymnasium Rostock (ISG). About one hundred participants from many different countries followed the invitation and have experienced an interesting and personal conference.

After this successful event the ISG decided to hold annual conferences in the beautiful Hanseatic city of Rostock. Currently it is and should remain a summit organized by high school students for fellow students. By doing that the BALMUN-Team seeks to retain personal contact between the participants. Besides offering real UN-procedures and fascinating MUN-experiences BALMUN enables an intercultural exchange among a growing number of international participants by having rather small committees and interesting get-togethers. With the support of many experienced MUN-students from all around Europe we were able to realize this idea and we will be delighted to uphold this event for the Baltic region.

Berlin Model United Nations (BERMUN)

BERMUN was initiated in 1992 and began as one-day conference with only thirty participants. Since 1992, BERMUN has evolved into a four-day international conference held in November and is att ended by over 700 participants. A second regional conference, BERMUN2, held in March, extends the MUN program to regional schools. Both conferences are organized by the John F. Kennedy School and take place in Berlin.

Since 2005, the BERMUN Youth Assembly has been empowering youth to create community-level projects addressing current global issues. BERMUN, BERMUN2, and the YA are all student-run projects and uphold the MUN vision of endorsing the ideals of the UN.

Elephant Model United Nations (ELMUN)

The ELMUN Conference is annually held in the last week of May at the Bilinguale Europaschule – Hermann-Böse-Gymnasium Bremen. The Elephant Model United Nations (ELMUN) – since the emblem of our school is an elephant – is a simulation for students from classes 9 to 13.

„Tackling Crises” as our main theme every year, our delegates will be dealing with hot and most recent international issues in different committees and councils. Since its foundation in 2009, ELMUN has continuously grown and in 2011 more than 200 participants took part at the Conference. ELMUN is supposed to be a beginner’s MUN, which attracts new students and helps them actively experience to deal with worldly matters that might give them new perspectives for their future to come.

Thanks to our sponsors every year, we have managed to keep our conference fee down to 5€. We are a Non-Profit MUN and we believe that money should not be an obstacle for anybody interested in participating at ELMUN and in trying out something new to make our world a better place to live in.

International School of Stuttgart MUN (MUNISS)

The MUNISS conferences traditionally feature a specific theme and focus on a particular part of the world. For MUNISS 2013 our theme is Human Rights and the area of world focus is North Africa and the Middle East. We host our conference on campus and limit our numbers to 150 in order for beginners to have a chance to present their resolutions and for veteran MUNers to sharpen their persuasive skills in lobbying and committee.

The conference is completely student organized and run which allows each in-coming Executive Council to create their own version of the conference each year. We offer host families for delegations so costs are kept at a minimum. The conference runs from Thursday afternoon (Opening Ceremonies) until Sunday at 1pm so visiting schools may take advantage of our well-known educational sight seeing as well as shopping opportunities in town on Thursday morning. The conference finishes on Sunday at 1pm to allow for early afternoon departures flights or trains.

Model United Nations of Goldberg (MUNOG)

MUNOG_CCC started out in 2008 to minimize the problems of climate change. It has turned into an international conference with up to 200 participants not only from Europe. The follow-up conferences have kept their focus on climate change but also dealt with other important issues. UN committees and councils concerning human rights, international security, climate and economics are simulated during the conference. MUNOG usually takes place for five days in the middle of October.

Ending with a diplomate's prom, MUNOG is – on a professional as well as private plane – a great way to get to know people from all over the world and to improve English skills. With many people working to arise a great simulation, there is always a great international atmosphere.

Model United Nations of Lübeck (MUNOL)

In 1998, a group of High School students founded MUNOL. This conference now annually att racts more than 350 students from 13 European countries. In 2007, MUNOL has held its 10th anniversary session during six days at the Thomas-Mann-School in Lübeck. The planning of the topics under discussion and the entire organization is carried out by High School students, adding to the special character of this MUN. The conference is furthermore known for the professional and family-like atmosphere as well as for the comparably low conference fee of only 30 €.

As English is the parliamentary language, all participants can apply and improve their language skills in one of the simulated commissions, councils or the six committees of the General Assembly.

Model United Nations of Munich (MunoM)

The Model United Nations of Munich (MunoM) is a four-day MUN conference, organized by students of the European School Munich, which takes place in the first week of November. Held in the capital of Bavaria, the conference brings together over 350 students from all over Europe to the impressive venues of the European Patent Office and the “Forum am Deutschen Museum”. The delegates, aged 14 to 19, are subdivided into five Committees, a Security Council and a Special Conference. For all those coming from abroad, host families are an offered alternative.

Model United Nations Schleswig-Holstein (MUN-SH)

Schüler-Planspiel United Nations (SPUN)

Schulfarm Insel Scharfenberg Model United Nations (SISMUN)
